Reversing sprites to face player

One of the cool screenshots I saw (some sand room with a bunch of dragons) had all of them facing away from @. Like they were shunning him. Maybe @ farted?
Would it be hard to calculate the sign of x_dragon - x_player, and face any strongly asymmetric monsters accordingly by flipping them?
Just a thought. (I very very very vaguely might recall having seen a request like this a year ago--sorry if this is a repeat.)
