Movement Infusion status icon should display steps left

I thought this is an obvious suggestion, but searching the Ideas forum yielded nothing !
Movement infusion status icon displays "1". This is NOT helpful. It would be much nicer if the icon had a number with turns (or equivalent) left. Diagonal movement might use more, but players are smart enough to notice the number goes down faster. Are there some technical difficulties implementing this - why is it not the default ?
I would also like Step Up to work like this, but the skill is notoriously unreliable for me. I mean sometimes it breaks after 9 moves, other times after 3 or a little higher. The skill does help, but it's hard to rely upon it. No, I don't use any activated talents, not even instant ones. I though maybe Unflinching Resolve was breaking the speed boost, but more observation shows that Step Up can be interrupted even with no negative status effects on me.
This happened to me on both Bulwarks and Marauders. Many characters, not just those that use poisoned weapons or some other potentially relevant items. Does this sound like a bug, or it's working as intended and I'm missing something ?
