..for talents that automatically selects the closest target, eg all ranged offensive powers. Pressing button button is more convenient than having to alternate between the keyboard and mouse, especially as those talents are the most used ones for most classes.

Also, it'd be neat if all beam talents were automatically set to go the maximum distance past their target unless that would hit an ally/neutral. Would spare a bit of scrolling in some cases.

I use the enter key to confirm, but pressing 2, enter, 2, enter, ... is a lot more annoying than pressing 2 2, 2 2, ...

The second part, I think could go either way. I think expected behavior is how it is now. Yes, often you want to target past the enemy so that if they retreat, they're still hit, but I'm okay with doing that manually.
