Shopping List

I've resorted to using notepad to keep track of items I found in shops that I want to buy but lack the funds for presently. Dungeon Crawl SS has a very elegant feature that I wish was replicated in ToMe. When you come across a shop, you can either buy the item immediately or save it to a "shopping list". You can then check the shopping list whenever you want and it will notify you as soon as you have enough money for a particular item.

You have to type it in manually, but that's one of the things I use the notes feature (in the ZOmnibus addon) for. It's not as good as the one in DCSS, cuz you type it manually, but it works.

Something of this sort would be wonderful.

In a similar vein, may I suggest some sort of notepad connected with the quest log.
Such that I can make notes to myself about the optional mini-dungeons, those orb pedestals, crypts(?) and the like, I find in the dungeons but am too scared to enter at the time of discovery.

I've taken a stab at this; is this more or less what you had in mind?

Now, that's the sort of thing I regularly use Notes to Self for.

Neat! I actually haven't been able to get it work (maybe because I use hjkl configuration?) but it sounds like you have exactly the right thing in mind.

Odd; so do I. What problems are you having?

None of the keyboard commands worked.

Hmm, okay, let's walk through this:
  • When you highlight a store item with the <Tab> key and arrow keys (or hover over it with the mouse) and press <Ctrl-Return>, you don't get a dialog prompting you to add the item to your wish list?
  • <Alt-Shift-W> doesn't bring up the Store WIsh List dialog? Check in the Key Bindings dialog from the <Esc> menu; is the "Manipulate your store wish list" command under Miscellaneous bound to anything?
