change the game timing system of buffs and cooldown from turn base to tick (1/10 turn) base. It will make the game more predictable. For example, Step Up will continues around 0.9 to 1.1 turns instead of 0.1 to 1.9 turns, which will make the timing system more understandable.
Although it maybe a lot of work...

Oh noes! I have started to get the general idea recently, and now you are proposing to change the very core?! I really hope darkgod has no time for such changes (and even accepting such patches, if someone writes them), anyway. And I doubt, that majority of users ever care, whether skill takes 1.1 or 1.9 turns - you are getting some extra movement/time to kill foes, that's all there is to it.

This would help a lot with things like Step Up. I love this, because I hate getting 1-step step ups.
