i like the idea of a class which has life as costs so replenishing it, spending it .. a few talents deal with this: adrenaline surge, and a reaver one to pay with life for vim, but i was thinking of a whole class (maybe necro, maybe another) based on life as a cost would be interesting.
Could be life+magic as cost to activate an ability.

see my post, although not cast with life directly, but the idea is similar.

Doesn't this more or less describe Solipsists?
Re: life-based costs class
I've done this with my Corrupted Elementist.
Annoyingly you need to overwrite a few functions in Actor to do it.

My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.
Re: life-based costs class
Can't some of the Vim classes do that too?
Re: life-based costs class
No class can use life as a resource, the code doesn't support it.

Re: life-based costs class
That strikes me as a strange thing to say. Code doesn't support a lot of stuff; that's why add-ons change the code.

BDota's Faeros raceclass does exactly this (I think)
