[1.0] Unlock Combat Techniques for archers at birth

Virtually every archer unlocks this tree, and with two for runes/infusions, that only leaves one to open a generic tree, as archers can't spend their generics otherwise.
So having it unlocked would be very helpful, and makes sense for a melee class.
It is not as if archers are overpowered.

Archers already have too little use for their category points. Combat Techniques gets unlocked not because it is an indispensable part of the class but because Dirty Fighting is entirely melee-range and they start with literally no other locked trees.
In fact, it would be nice if they started with another locked tree or two for variety - not having to pick up Conditioning from an escort, for example. I'm not sure if there are any good class trees for them. Trapping is probably too good. Shield Defense might be workable. I'm not sure there's anything good for bow-users... Warcries?

I don't support it. As I said, they don't have enough use for their category points, there's no need to make it worse by unlocking their only worthwhile locked tree.

But my argument is that this tree is essential for archers. So you use this and two for infusions and runes, and then you've only got onle left for a generic tree, which you have to use, as there are lots of spare generics too. So I'd prefer to unlock TWO generic trees.

Unlock it and add some more locked class trees that aren't high impact, then.
Mobility and Traps would be harmless and thematically good locked categories. Warcries is a little weird thematically, but not that odd and would make a good option as well.

Yes, something to reduce enemies saves/defence would be good. Archers can't land any effects on Atamatathon with a powerful character, as they can't lower his saves.

The tree is not essential at all.
This guy never unlocked it, and didn't feel the need to (having two available cat points for much of the mid game), and the skills don't fit very well with them. In fact, of the 10 most recent archers (lvl 40-50), 5 had not unlocked it, 1 had unlocked it but not invested any points, and 4 had invested in it, so it's not a majority, never mind "virtually every" one.

Having Conditioning, locked, would be pretty nice though. If you aren't going AM (which is rather suboptimal for them) you are pretty much on escort's whim for Generic tree, or forced to improve category.

Well that really surprises me. I always unlock it, and for crit and particularly blinding speed, and which with rapid shot. So I should have said 'I always unlock it' said

You can always improve a known tree. That's what I usually do, anyway.
