Perhaps stores should have guaranteed whites. It's kinda strange how rare white items can be, and this makes a number of item enhancers harder to use. To avoid them taking up space occupied by things with useful egos and whatnot, they should probably be appended to the store list after the current store item generation process, or something like that.

Or maybe a way to affix burn?

I like this idea. It's ridiculous how you have adventurers sorting piles of loot going "meh, another randart; chuck it on the pile" while praying for a generic, non-magical item of the sort one assumes get mass-produced in any major population centre.

Also, what is affix burn?

Affix burn is where you remove all echantments from an item.
Basically, insert any coloured item and it becomes white.

The only reasons I can think of you would want a white item is a)to use crystal focus/crystal heart on b) white voratun amulet for limmir's quest c) white voratun ring for imbuing. Since voratun items of any kind are rarely found in stores, I really doubt that adding white items would help. You'd have to specifically add voratun whites, and that's not something I'm keen on.

There's a way to get guaranteed voratun amulet and ring in the game already. White voratun weapons and armor can usually be found in Vor Armory (if not, tough luck).

I'm of the mind that if you can manage that method to get the guaranteed voratun amulet and ring, you don't really need them. It was one of the most challenging fights in the game when I did it before, and I hear it's been buffed to be harder. Good point about the voratun items rarely spawning in stores, though.
