ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Pretty straight forward, trade prodigy points for some combination of class and generic points. You could even make it usable twice.

Pretty boring from my perspective. I think players should be forced to take an interesting prodigy.

Might be boring but could potentially allow for some interesting combos.

What would be bad is if this becomes the default prodigy everyone takes. Class and generic points are very attractive.

I don't think so, there are many excellent existing ones. If anything, some might be a bit too good already - I wouldn't trade Irresistible Sun on a melee character for (almost) anything.
