ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

When you acquire one of those items for the first time or encounter stuff similar to this (like the random antimagic trap) you should get a pop-up lore explaining what it does exactly with your character and while equipped.

Will help alot of newbies in understanding it and prevent a million questions in the future.

Your arcane abilities have been interfered with!

Eyal is a torn world, and the forces of nature can react strongly to the arcane energies that seek to manipulate them. Some items and areas are imbued with anti-magic, a natural energy that disrupts magical abilities and effects. There are even those who have learned to harness anti-magic into their own wild abilities, and who use them to hunt down and destroy those who practise magic. So beware, caster! It is a hostile world ye wander in.

I approve of this idea.

I thought "ye" was a double reverse bastardization of "the" and not "you."

Any rumours of me bastardising are entirely unfounded. I never even went near this Billie Jean woman!
