ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

When traversing the sandworm lair, it's possible to be left behind in a room with no exit. On some occasions, one can be stuck there for upwards of 100 presses of '5'. This is... painful. It only serves to annoy the user, and cause them to lean on 5, which leads to bad things happening. After rest has fully healed health/stamina/etc, one cannot repeat turns, waiting for a tunneler. Please add a 'Wait for X Turns' command, to ease this process.

You don't have to press, you can just hold '5'.

I think that's what he means by "lean on 5". A "rest until something happens" button would be nice, too.

You want my Timed Rest addon.

Yes, this is what I meant by leaning. Holding the button down until something happens, usually all at once. (Other examples including holding a direction to repeatedly melee breeders in other roguelikes, till an overpowered one instagibs you, or something walks up behind you, or other situations. Roguelikes + leaning on a key = bad things happening. Lesson well learned... (and painfully)

[scratches head] Well, it works in b43; I can't attest to the item link thing, as I've never used it.
