Clearer item sets

Right now it's hard (especially for someone newer to the game) to tell what items go to what set. I just wanted to put in a suggestion for named sets (ie "belongs to set "BIG SWORDZ"" in the item description) or just listing what other items are needed somewhere to make this easier.

Good point. It is part of a set of items is definitely too confusing.

Perhaps:

"This item gives additional bonuses if you are also wearing X, or you linked it with X (for some mindstars)"

Or even just "This item is part of a set (with %n)".

Then just put a set=(item name) description modifier in. It doesn't seem too hard.

(I do not know for sure that %n would be the right syntax.)

Well, the thing is, there might be more than 2 items to a set (as far as I know, haven't actually completed any yet.) So just having a set name would be clear and allow for that.

But anything would be better than just randomly guessing.

There currently are no sets higher than two pieces.

Even if they were, I think a triangle style(Say, Axe of Smash boosts Shield of Smash, which boosts Boots of Smash, which boosts Axe of Smash) of set would be better than a bonus you can only get for having all three, due to the nature of the artifact system.
