Random ideas (classes/UI) and other junk..

Random ideas:
* Need "Transmogrify All" button on transmog chest screen.. Some floors I get tons of items and then sorting the list takes time, plus picking up new stuff and having to look through all the old stuff to find it.

*When you have a pickaxe equipped "Dig" could be in the mouse-click list when you click on any diggable wall (minor, but fluid!)..

*For skills you can enable automatic use, but I could make use of a secondary mode that enables auto-use only when no enemies are in sight (one for auto-use only while in combat/sight of an enemy would be handy too..)

*The ability to trade a rune slot for a category point? :O That could be more unbalanced than I imagine, but it also seems like a dangerous move at the same time..

*Another font option sized somewhere between Small and Normal, normal is slightly too big for me, small is too small.. Would allowing users to pick their own fonts (ZAngband/Omniband) be too rough? ZAng/Omniband also let you pick the color-coding for your items too (although the item colors reflected type, not quality)..

*Thought about adding creatures in the dungeons that start out asleep, or are neutral or friendly towards you.. Would provide some interesting moments, and could add tough neutral enemies that you don't have to fight if you don't want to (or will have to fight if your chain lightning accidentally finds them)..

*Already posted in the "Spice Up The Infinite Dungeon" thread, but the dungeon needs new material themes (instead of grey stone forever and ever), needs randomized music, and needs escorts/alchemy quests and functionality to recieve awesome events like Bearscape etc.. Also needs a way to shop (could be done by random chances of a store interface popping up between levels, like transmog chest screen)..


Equally Random Unfleshed Class Ideas:
*Basically a blacksmith class, whole purpose is to augment your equipment to survive (uses all current item-altering skills and whatever gap-filling new stuff)..

*What about a class where you get to pick a certain amount of skill trees from all the trees in the game :| Antimagic and other conflicting skillsets would still cause conflicts.. Maybe for overpowered-protection that class could have its own scoreboard section, or not be featured.. Also multiple forms of energy management seem tricky too..

*Thought about another class that can only use runes/infusions/wands/totems, plus skills to enhance rune/infusion power and somehow make it interesting (so much detail!!)

*Also I was mildly suprised not to find a dedicated post in this section for new classes and skills suggestions/tweaks for current classes.. :) I feel bad making a whole new topic for my mediocre underfed and underthought "ideas" :D

The dedicated classes sub-forums sound like a nice idea to me :) I don't know that we really need it /now/ but I think it's something the forums probably will need eventually (hopefully anyway).

Probably break it up by meta-class.

You can use the chest as an item to transmogrify everything in it.

I'm really digging this idea. (YEAHHHH!) In fact, it would be nice if you didn't need to have a pickaxe equipped at all, and you just needed to have one in your inventory, rather than forcing the player to switch to pickaxe, dig, then switch back to their preferred combat tool.

A creature like this was recently added. :D

Beginning the game with additional category point but one infusion/rune slot less might be interesting; but then again, if you want to start with a category point, you can just play a Cornac. If the other races could get one too, that would probably deprecate the Cornacs too much.

Another suggestion: Disable auto-use when using the talent would break a movement infusion or similar effect. For instance, I'll often leave Stealth on auto-use most of the time when I'm playing a Rogue, but that means that any movement infusions I use only last until I'm out of sight of the enemy unless I remember to deactivate auto-use whenever I need to run.

* Double tapping a targeted skill's hotkey could cast it on the nearest target (except self).

About the digger stuff, I kinda like the idea of using the slot for multiple purposes, but it wouldn't bother me to have a switch function like with weapons.
