ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've been wondering if it is semi-impossible, or just plain impossible to create a standalone version of Tome?
Yes, I know I should concentrate on working during night shifts at workplace, but since I have a lot of time on my hands, I'd love to play Tome during those excruciatingly boring morning hours... but alas, IT policy rejects all attempts to install pretty much anything on the computer.

Basically I can play anything that I can just copy to the desktop, roguelikes and so, but apparently Tome installs rather a lot of stuff to other folders that the IT policy rejects.

Would be sweet as honey coated ball of sugar puffs dipped in syrup if it would be possible to just play it via usb-stick, or by copying a folder to the desktop w/o installing (or by copying a pre-installed version). Obviously that would make me a complete loner, no chats or anything would be possible, but hey, I've always been a hermit type anyways.

As I rambled on and on, a simple answer of: NO! will suffice, if that is the case:)

I think that there is no such stuff installed by ToME on a system, except the user directory (in "Documents and Settings" for windows).
I really wonder why you are not allowed by the IT team to write in this directory, because it is THE directory that user write to in the windows policy.
Anyway, I am sure it would be very simple to change it to another directory and to select it by means of the option menu...
