ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Instead of the general and class skills being shuffled together, it seems like it would make sense to have the class skills all at the top, followed by all of the general skills, with finally your racial tree.

This would make it easier to allocate your points each level, and would provide more consistency to the UI.

I agree, this is an odd inconsistency between classes.
