New difficulty level, Norsane?

First of all, I don't know if someone has already suggested this, atleast I couldn't find any posts about the matter by having a quick glance at the forums.
Would it be possible (and how hard to implement) to have a difficulty level somewhere in between normal and insane? Let's say instead of the insane settings 100% + 10lvl & 100% increased talent levels would go down to 50% + 5lvl & 50% increased talent levels.
I really do enjoy the challenge that insane brings but some monster types are just ridiculous with this setting, not to mention random bosses. And personally I do find normal difficulty too easy 90% of the time and most of the deaths caused on normal for me has been because of the content being too easy, I get bored and just rush through the places without using any caution. Then some nasty mofo jumps out of nowhere and you bump into em few times in row and that's it.
I know there has been discussion about balancing insane, or the lack of it due to the numerous new betas and main focus being on normal mode. This could be some kind of a "hotfix" for the people who want that extra challenge till we get the first official release out and start balancing the insane mode out.
Having this difficulty setting might also open up many more viable class/race combinations, seeing at the moment many of the classes (mainly melee ones) and races are quite unplayable due to the extremely harsh start, it get's better after you've cleared the first two dungeons.
