Curse debuffs when hit

Got a character cursed in the Mausoleum today, my main weapons got the Curse of Shrouds, and it's a bit annoying when the random debuff pops up every so often and breaks resting or auto-explore. Got me thinking that maybe debuffs like that should have a higher chance to apply, but check when the character takes damage, rather than...I guess every turn? That would make it less bothersome, and also ensure it triggers in combat where it has the potential to be an actual hindrance.
