The guys who appears in encounters have a lot of weapons (bows, daggers, swords and mauls etc).
Body armours are also common.
But cloaks, headgear, gloves and boots are rare.
As ofcourse rings and amulets.
How come?

I'd like to see a lot more of those in wilderness encounters.

They might not even have those equipment slots and imagine how much harder they'd be if they don't and then got them.

The equipment they drop is stuff they're wearing.

Tom, if you start a new Alchemist, switch to the golem with F2, then check out his inventory, ywhat you see there is likely similar to what edge is talking about.
