Sound effects

We already have a few sound effects for basic combat stuff, but I feel that more stuff should be audible, especially when it's of gameplay importance. Ultimately I'd like it if you could rely purely on sound effects and flyout text/numbers to understand the majority of what's going on in combat, without having to pay close attention to every detail of the game log. In particular I think we need sounds for:
- sustains deactivated by an enemy (I always miss this)
- statuses inflicted (many could share sounds, such as all hexes having the same sound)
- heart-beat sound on low HP
- distinct critical hit and critical spell sounds
- more individual talent use sounds
- paper rustling sound when displaying lore
- new quest and quest completed sounds
- level up sound
- insert more suggestions here!
The problem of course is getting a decent collection of free sound effects to use. Anyone know of some good sources?
As has been suggested in another thread, it would be good if we had stereo sound with volume dependant on distance of the source from the player. Sounds for enemies becoming aware of your presence and of them receiving pain and dying would be good. Getting individual sounds for each enemy type would take a long time though.
