The current ingame Lua error bug reporting is neat.

But some bugs are do not raise a lua error.
And sometimes you geta neat idea in the game and don't want to leave at the second to head to the forums to post here. (And then you keep playing, and forget).

Can the existing bug reporting interface be extended to include ideas, and to be called upon (through main game menu maybe) for reporting bugs when a lua error has not arisen?

I think is a bad idea - it'll lead to badly formed concepts, and have DarkGod overwhelmed with spam. It also gives no room for discussion, so there's no hope for a poorly expressed idea being explored out further, or providing inspiration for other ideas.

It's much better that a player should have to go to the forums and type out a full post about their idea. This way they get to reflect on their thoughts, and consider how to layout and present their idea. Otherwise there'll be a flood of "i think u shud hav molds as playable race coz their cool lol".

However the triggered bug report ain't a bad idea. One often doesn't want to break out of the game to report a typo or something similarly minor.

I agree with Grey, post in the ideas forum and discuss it.

Valid points, I suppose one could argue that the revised bug reporting could still be abused in the same way.
