As it is now inability to see himself during invisibility is purely UI annoyance - player just have to remember his position and count all his movements (knockbacks&pushes are not often occurrences). It's also suspend disbelief - player is invisible, not blind and should be able to see where he is. If invisibility must carry penalty (which is disputable) better penalty would be reduced attack value - inability to see own weapon. Reduced attack value also would make +attack talents more useful.

You can still mouse-over yourself to find out where you are. I'd suggest though, for added flavour, you remain invisible but have the green targeting box around yourself to show where you are.

Remember, if you are invisible and you cannot see invisible things, how are you expecting to see yourself? :p

You at least know where you are with respect to your surroundings. And most people are attuned enough to themselves to be able to sense things fine without sight. Typing is a good example - I can type very quickly and accurately without glancing at my hands. Experienced jugglers only need to watch the balls, not their hands. A good footballer can be looking the opposite direction of where he kicks the football to, etc.

Being invisible and not having see invisible was a old problem in the original Tome with Smeagol's drop ( ring of invisibility ).

If you currently wish to know where you are (which can be a pain if you teleport while invisible), I recommend "L"ooking, then pressing 5. This will target the player.

Yes, agreed. I think the character should be invisible--that is, not displayed--but should have the tactical border. After all, the experienced player can always figure out where they are, so why confuse less experienced players?
