OOD monsters and exp points

In the Rhaloren camp lvl 3, I met an elven cultist 
. Obviously OOD (level 25 with almost 500HP), even if he was not in a vault. And very very very nasty as expected. My level 6 paradox mage would probably have been toasted by the diseases in 2 or 3 turns without meeting an anorithil in the scintillating caves and gaining providence. It was a long and hard fight, but I finally got him. And all I got was 4% experience...
Just after I met the Inquisitor. Much much easier to kill, and this gave me 170% experience (and a great artifact)...
I think this is quite unbalanced and rather incoherent. I checked in the code and it seems that the difference in level is not taken into account to score exprience. I know that in T4, most of the exp you get are from bosses, but maybe there should be slight multiplier for OOD monsters...
Maybe a multiplier like sqrt(lvldiff-5) would be correct.
