ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I have been reading on this forum that artifact don't decay so it becomes possible for someone to completely miss artifacts in their game. I would like a fortune teller/seer like store where you could pay for information if you have missed any artifacts. I'm thinking you can only do it for dungeon where you have killed the boss. there could be other possible limitations such as high price, a raising price (each time the teller is more expensive), and/or the teller is accurate within 3-4 floors.

This is a pretty cool idea.

The seer could give you a list of every artifact that's not decaying and then you could pay to learn what dungeon it's in.

It sounds interesting, particularly the limited accuracy.

A very good idea. Removes the need for boring grinding of every square inch of the maps which may be required otherwise with persistant artifacts.
