I believe it would create too much clutter, especially hidden clutter, as there are enough traps in zones, and in the zones that are chalk full of item dropping npcs [such as the prides] having glyphs along with the traps and npcs and rooms and traps ... even though they are big open zones, that's a LOT of stuff.
