Scrolls of Recall

I'd love to see scrolls of recall in the game, to be able to quickly travel between the town and the current level of the dungeon. But...

I can understand that it could be a precise design choice not to have them in the game, since they would make easier transporting everything out of a dungeon.

As far the need to avoid their usage as an escape mean in the middle of a fight, it can be easily avoided adding a penalty in their usage (damage suffer from their usage or, better, making them require some time to actually teleport the character out).

Still, it's often a bit tedious go up and down the previously visited levels of a dungeon, expecially if the dungeon is deep and the entrances are at the opposite side of the map.

What are your thoughts on this?

this has been debated before, but right now, as levels are relatively shallow (9 levels deep at the most) there isnt really an intention of making a *common* means of recall, I do think that there will be a way to recall later (via rod/orb/artifact) but not common scrolls.

There's a few class ideas in the works that have the ability to teleport back up dungeon levels and possibly to the surface.

If these talents get implemented charged items would give the player a means of getting out of the dungeon more quickly.

yeah it's not really needed, I'm even having second thoughts about teleport: angolwen spell of mages :)
