hmm, could you make a door have a different color on the minimap? perhaps umber or a darker shade of gray.

right now it makes it look like it is impassable.

the main problem would be with forest maps and them having grass as a door.

The ability to turn it off would also be good!

Turning it off? I find it distracting - don't forget that this is in ideas, and if everyone else likes it then don't do it.

Are you counting hiding the map as turning it off? Because that is doable and that is what I do.
