Some Ideas

No idea if these have been mentioned before, but here goes

Colored symbols to indicate type of metal: Is it possible to make armor/weapons colored(green for galvorn, blue for mithril) so that I can skip the iron n steel ones? Might be a graphics/ascii issue here.

Target non-monsters: I'd love to be able to target a floor square with an area spell, such as corrosive cloud. If this is possible, I've not been able to figure it out.

Disarm Traps for the rest of us: With beta 4 requiring 28 cunning for level 1 disarm trap, do non-rogues just have to wince n bear being smacked around with traps? Or will there be something dropped in to help us fried/froze/causticly burnt/poisoned/stunned mages n fighters get rid of those annoying traps! Especially in areas like the Maze. (I have noted that traps arent quite as damaging(yet?) in beta 4 as they were in beta 3)

Ability to rename character: Yes? No? Maybe? Be Patient?

Changing colors: yes

Free targetting: press shift+direction :)

Disarm: Well you can detect them easily, rogues need some advantages ;)

Rename: Yes, be patient ;>
