ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I don't know about anyone else, but there are certain enemies I loathe, and 'l'ooking at everything is just a pain. Especially when (understandably) colour and letter combos are overloaded.

I'd like to be able to highlight monsters that I find difficult or dangerous. Perhaps monsters with certain attributes (like stun, or ones that can manathrust at 200 at low levels, yes I'm looking at you Mr. shade)

And items, i'd like to highlight those few items that I genuinely find useful.

This could be done in a way much akin to auto-squash.

Or you could have one colour for stuff not seen yet by this char, and one colour for stuff judged to be bad. (on the tactical screen).

I should probably 'l'ook more, but since there is no food issues, I kinda amble over there (I do step into traps way too often) and prod it with my foot before I pick it up.

But I agree... certain things, especially discovered traps, I'd like to highlight in a way similar to the tactical view. In fact I totally agree with the item/monster idea too, but I can imagine it can get fairly hard to program. Specially the item one, as it is customized per character.

But I can see that all monsters that can stun be marked with a small hammer in one of the corners of the monster's block. A strong manathrust/spell with a little lightning bolt etc. each danger presented below the previous one.
