weird connect-then-disconnect online problem

Hey,
So on my *ahem* work computer, I'm having a persistent weird problem where ToME can log in at the main menu, but won't show any chat, and when I go to start a game it will no longer recognize that I'm logged in or have DLCs or unlocks or anything.
I've tried adding te4.exe to the firewall allowed list; I've tried connecting to my mobile hotspot to see if it's the LAN blocking something; nothing has worked. It seems to just be this PC.
Any ideas what to look for? My lunch breaks aren't nearly as happy.
