Hello All,

Just got to level 30. Got a Bulwark build and I assume 'I Can Carry The World' must be the best choice if the STR exceeds the level cap.

I have 60 STR. Will this prodigy give me 110 STR?

When choosing it, nothing happens. I want to see how much the STR boost affects for instance Shattering Shout. Will the effects first show after I 'accept the changes' or will the STR not go higher than 60?

Yes, it will.

Yeah, prodigy effects aren't shown until you accept the changes. Unfortunately, that means there's no good way to see how much +50 strength will affect your assorted talents until after you've committed to taking the prodigy (except, if you're playing offline, perhaps save-scumming would work?).
