Can't find Lithfengel anywhere

Got the quest from Tannen, can't seem to find him anywhere in the portal room in Reknor. I got the message about the orcs' bodies but no dice. Been digging and tracking everywhere and no luck. Could it be a bug? If so is it fixable? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

After examining the save this appears to be a false alarm; Lithfengel has already been killed.
