Is it just me or is chat very unreliable last couple weeks?

Recently I am a lot of the time being disconnected from chat or being unable to log in (not in the scheduled maintenance time). Is it just me or is everyone experiencing this?

It's the servers themselves, from what I understand. Something about a massive uptick in players with one of the recent updates.

DarkGod has been working on refining some of the server communication code. I'm not sure how much an effect it will have, but he is working on it.
