ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I recently got back into ToME after a pretty long time off. When I last played, it was on version 1.3.3, and my old saves won't load in version 1.4.8, so I'm assuming they're no longer compatible. Is there a way I can make the saves work in 1.4.8 or alternatively, a way I can download 1.3.3 (downloads page only seems to go back to 1.4.0) to use the couple of in-progress ones that are worth keeping?

saves are not compatible between versions. 1.4.9, the latest, is so much better and more interesting than your old version, I'd upgrade.

i wanted to download old 1.3.3 version, but on download page the oldest version is 1.4.0
And it seems that wayback machine don't help much ;(
