I don't really understand the question, insofar as I am not sure what sort of answer would satisfy it in a way that"fuzzy little murder-midgets" does not, but I like the drawing! It's one of the better pieces of ToME 4 canary I've seen.

As for the question, yup, probably they are just like that, plus the collective consciousness of The Way.

Well I meant the question in both a general sense of "what are these fuzzy bumblebees of death", as well as a "I am generally unfamiliar with the history of yeeks and they seem mysterious". They seem strangely out of place as I think the only race with inbred psionic powers. I know there's something about halflings experimenting on them but other than that not much.

There's some mention of The Way ingame, but overall Yeeks/their culture/in-depth details about The Way are more or less glossed over in favor of being King of Hallways with your tri-beam archmage of choice. I was just curious about whether there was additional lore for the yeeks that helps tie their story in with Maj'Eyal a little better.

Their actual history is intentionally quite mysterious. If you play the Embers DLC and do the sidequest where you collect yeti tissue for the psionic machine you'll get some details about their origins though.
