Hello all ToME players, old and new!

Did you know ToME has a wiki? Did you know that you can help with it?

Did you know that a lot of it is out of date and that we REALLY NEED your help to improve it?

FAQ on the ToME Wiki:

Q: What's this thing and why should I care?
A: A place you should be able to go to find out any and all information about the game, from stats on artifacts, to how particular talents work, to strategy guides.

Q: Why do you need help?
A: The game has a metric shit-ton of info. It's not something DarkGod can crank out by himself. Plus, the collective knowledge of all users can be saved, so everyone can play better and smarter.

Q: What can I do?
A: There are a few big things we need -
  • Creating pages that don't exist yet - places, artifacts, talents, bosses, and quests.
  • Correcting old info - much of the wiki hasn't been updated since version 1.1!
  • Helping to fill in missing info - like scaling on talents.
  • Strategy guides - most of the strategy guides are also from the 1.1 era.
  • Ashes of Urh'Rok - we're still missing a lot of info from this expansion!
Q: Ok, how do I get started?
A: You'll want to read the wiki's How To Contribute Page page to see the common format and rules that have been set up to make everyone's life easier. You can also put questions in Questions page.

Then, pick a topic and jump right in!

As a start, you can help with WantedPages, which are pages that haven't been created, but which someone made a link toward. This currently includes everything from 'Half-Finished Bone Giant??', to 'Stoneshield (talent)??', to 'Sher'tul Fortress??'. You can also help with LonelyPages, which don't have any links to them - they're impossible to find normally. Figure out where a page should be linked to, and link it!

So You Want To Write A Strategy Guide

Great! We need more good strategy guides. Please try these things to make good, high quality guides:
  • Name your guide something unique, clear and obvious like: "ibanix's Skeleton Archer Guide for 1.4.3"
  • Try to provide details on the early, middle and late game play
  • Don't assume the player knows what you do; explain things that might seem obvious
  • Link your guide to the Guides page under the appropriate class
  • Tag your guide with the version you wrote it for - include this at the top of the guide: {{subst:version}}
  • DON'T FRAK THE GUIDE SOMEONE ELSE WROTE - WRITE YOUR OWN

Thank you for all your help!
