TOME not finding steam. Help!

So, I was just gifted TOME and it's DLC. Installed both. Launched from steam. Found my TOME profile was automatically signed in, so I played..3 mins later, lost connection to servers.
So I logged out of my game, saw that i said to log into steam..clicked. 'No Steam Client Found'. I am PLAYING FROM STEAM as it says this. Looked at TOME profile on the webpage. 'You have TOME on steam!' in my profile..still cannot log into steam via the main menu, in game, from steam.
Help?
