ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Well, having looked through a few posts in the past where people inquired about this, I haven't found any where there was any resolution, at least that was posted. I'm hoping there will be a better result here.

I'm trying to reset everything to start over. I've reset unlocks, and that seems to have taken. I've reset lore, and I *think* that's taken but I'm not sure. But achievements will absolutely not go away.

A couple of weeks ago I connected my Steam account to my game account, and pressed whatever button to transfer my old ToME achievements to Steam, but it failed. I probably did that wrong... but I'm glad it didn't go through now.

At this point, I'd just like to see those achievements go away. Can it be done?

Okay, well, I can see hopefully why people dropped the issue. It did eventually reset my achievements (yay!).

SO. If you, like me, are trying to reset achievements and such, and have made sure you followed directions to the letter, and it still isn't working, give it a bit. I don't know, an hour? Two? A day? Not sure. But they did eventually get cleared.


However! New question! It's not clearing everything out. The top kills and what kinds of characters I've won the game with have not disappeared. Is that stuff not supposed to disappear?

If the button explicitly says "Clear Achievments" then it's doing its job. I don't think there is a full reset besides making a new account.

Well, to be fair, there *are* three buttons (reset achievements, reset unlocks and reset lore), and I was only asking about achievements in particular because that was the one that didn't appear to be working at all.

There *is* a bit of room for someone not totally familiar with how it all works to find some ambiguity in what those cover.

But I get you. The reset achievements button resets achievements.

Bummer that the rest can't be reset.

If you message DarkGod, he may be able to reset the other stuff for you. I think he's currently on vacation though.
