ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've just won with a Dwarven Wyrmic, hoping to try out the extended play add-on for the Infinite Dungeon... but I can't. Although I completed the Charred Scar quest in time, I made the mistake of going back a little way to mop up some of the creatures chasing me, and to pick up a couple of objects I'd had to leave. That apparently meant that I failed the quest. Oh well, I went on to the end, fighting off a peeved Aeryn on the way, and won the final confrontation (dying twice during the fight). Then I teleported back -- and found that the Gates of Morning are closed. Is there any way to get back to the West?

In the final boss fight room, there's two portals. One leads to the east, the other to the main continent. I'm not sure if you can get back there once you leave, but if you can, use one of the portals.

And really, you should probably have put this in the spoilers section considering it's about what happens after you win and what happens if you fail the charred scar.

Ah, sorry -- I'm not familiar enough with the Forums. And thanks for the advice -- I'll try to get back to the portals.
