ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

For some reason, when the area is darkened and I cast Illuminate the area is not illuminated. The hostiles do get blinded. ...but the area stays dark. Am I missing something here?

Naw, it's every time I cast it. In any dungeon, on any level against any foes.


My last char had Illuminate and used it without issue. I don't see anyone else having the issue in the forums. I don't get it. I can't imagine that there is something I'm wearing or doing that would cancel it out. ....especially since the blindness affects are happening.
