Problem With Unlocking

According to
http://te4.org/wiki/Unlockables I should be able to unlock the Female Dwarf Beards cosmetic option by defeating The Mouth in The Deep Bellow. This isn't working for me with an Nightmare Exploration Male Dwarf Berserker. I'm playing the Good Old Games version with the Item Vault patch and Ashes of Urh'Rok.
Any ideas or is this a bug?

Try beating it outside of Exploration mode. I don't know whether or not unlocks on that setting count for others, though I believe they should.
If it doesn't work on Adventurer or Roguelike setting, then something is definitely wrong.

Every other unlock has worked in Exploration mode, including one of the other cosmetic options- the redhead one. In fact I once got in on the Steam version and I don't believe I've ever used a different option with regards to Exploration Mode.
Edit
Just reinstalled with just the base game and ran the same build/difficulty on Adventure Mode- still didn't get the unlock.

I've had the same problem on my Steam Mac copy of the game, and I've only played on Roguelike and completed Deep Below a number of times. Although I may not be looking in the right place for the beard option I suppose.

It's the the option to the right of Select Custom Tile- I think it's called Customize. It only shows up if you've unlocked one of the three options. I'm wondering if the unlocking method has changed since the wiki is supposedly out of date I've heard.

I've defeated The Mouth on Normal Roguelike and I don't see the beard option for female dwarves either in the customization menu. This is on the Linux version from GOG.

I did some testing, and come to find out, to unlock the female beards on dwarfs you have to beat the mouth with a female dwarf. It will not unlock for a male dwarf. I hope that helps

I could have sworn the one time I unlocked this on the Steam version I was playing a bloke. Maybe the female only thing is a bug. . .

It could be. Both myself and a friend tested it though. Definitely can only unlock with female dwarf on 1.2.5.

Oh, I believe you. I thought of the female only thing myself- but as stated it didn't mesh with my foggy memory. That being the case is there anyway to cheat gender on character?

Dev mode gives you full access to the code of the game, so all you need to do is find where gender is stored in the code and change it from male to female. There's no option for it in the debug menu, though.
Warning, this is gonna invalidate your character. Unlocks still count, but you can't upload them to the Character Vault or upload any items to the Item Vault if you access a character while in Dev mode.
