Is STR essential or not to a BOW archer?

recently I run a eternal elf archer (so powerful!!) in the endless mode dungeon,
everything is going ok, I have reached the 40th floor of the dungeon.

I only add the DEX and the CON (to be reliabe, add some physical save) every time I levelup.
DEX reached its bottom very soon, CON seemed to be enough.


Should I add some points to the STR?
Cuz I noticed that the description of every ARROW includes"75% DEX, 50% STR"
I'm not sure the exact meanings of this line.
Cuz 75%+50%?100%!!

From my perspective, I suppose adding STR is a liitle wasting cuz I don't need the bonus of "carrying things", I already got the "transforming box"!!

Strength is absolutely essential to a bow archer. Your bow damage scales off of strength, and it also gives you physical power, further increasing your damage.

The damage formula is pretty complicated.
The damage modifier part is pretty simple though:
Take your physical power, and then add X% of your stats to that number according to the weapon type. The resulting number is used to directly multiply the resulting damage.

So, say you have 50 physical power, 10 strength, and 100 dexterity, and your arrows have 70% dex 50% str.
That's 50 physical power + (50% of 10 strength) + (70% of 100 dexterity) = 125
If you bump your strength up to 60: 50 physical power + (50% of 60 strength) + (70% of 100 dexterity) = 150
You'll be dealing 150 / 125 = 120% as much damage.

(Of course, in reality, changing strength will modify physical power as well.)

Short answer: Strength adds about as much to your damage as dex does when using a bow.

Strength is eventually essential, particularly if you choose not to invest heavily in Aim. In lower levels you can get away with pretty low strength if you keep dex high. I generally favor keeping strength levels just high enough to keep improving armor while pumping dex, then switching to more strength when dex hits 60.
