Killing Eidolon

Has anyone done it? I just recently died (Yeek!Reaver, ran into an advneturing party and stupidly forgot to pop my Rune of Reflection when blinded) and inspected the Eidolon and noticed that he has basically no offense. He might be level 200, he might be an elite boss, but his damage stat is four. And his life regen is only .25, so even with his ludicrous 96% resist all, he'd still be easy (if time consuming) to kill. I didn't risk it, since I've been pretty damn lucky with this playthrough (Blood of Life, already found two short staves and have three more in Angolwen to buy), but I figure someone might have.

So has anyone ever sat through all 13k HP and killed this guy? Or does he instakill you with some hidden ability?

And, if you do kill him, is it like in Elona where killing a god makes an inner, four times as powerful and immensely pissed off super god comes out and immediately wrecks your shit?

He is actually invulnerable. Nothing you do will ever even tickle him unless you mod him otherwise.

He can have a golem on madness and insane. You can kill that if you really want.

*Le sigh*

Ah well. I always have this intense urge to brutally maul the hand that feeds me in videogames. Like the lumberjacks in Ben's village-I always kill Mr. Cruthdar, bask in admiration for five minutes, then start slaughtering innocent people before riding off into the sunset shouting "I did it! I saved them all! I'm a hero!" in the most sincere tones I can manage.

Edit: As a though, is there any chance Eidolon is [father]? Because if he is, maybe we should be trying harder to take him down. I'm sure there's some kind of glitch or skill syngery to bypass his invulnerability. Perhaps waiting for him to spawn with an extra class that has talents that inflict damage on himself and baiting him into attacking you to his own death?

The Eidolon is not [Father].

Nah, invincible is invincible. Think it even bypasses self-damage stuff, unless it's special cased.

If you really want to kill something hard to kill, go off the magetown wozzname. That's always good for a laugh. And probably a nice earth-shattering kaboom...

Isn't Atamothon harder than Lianalilil... Lianial... Laiainsisalsniflnignlangilkdnl the head Archmage of Angolwen nowadays?

And good lord, no. I've yet to beat the game itself. Bonus bosses can wait until I can beat normal mode.

Last I read someone put Linaniil up against two Atamathons simultaneously and she won.

That doesn't say who's harder for the player. Correct me if I'm wrong (I've only "fought" her once, in the same way a snowball fights a flamethrower, so i probably am), but Archmage L. becomes worlds easier if you manage to knock her sustains off and Atamothon can't do that, but the player should be able to if they want to fight her? As well as being better equipped to handle the debuffs she gives.

Edit: If you find the link to this, can you post it? That sounds like an awesome fight to watch/read the recap of.

Ugh, I agree with you somewhat. Atamathon has the advantage of a small, relatively open map, pretty damn good mobility, and multiple ways to suck you into melee. HOWEVER, Linaniil has a no cooldown meteor prodigy, and draconic body, as well as five lives in which each time she dies, she gets a lot more hp, and a +20% all damage modifier. I fought (and beat) her once, and I can tell you, it takes a great deal of will not to cry when you see that 10,000 hp heal from draconic body.
