ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So after 3 failures i finally had my first winner! I have to say, i was feeling pretty powerful at the end but the final fight almost brought me down (including 2 very near death experiences). What an epic battle!

I enjoyed playing a skeleton archmage but would like a different experience for my next venture into Maj'Eyal. There are so many options.

I'd love to hear your suggestions. What are your favorite race/class combinations?

All the classes are mighty fun but to think of something entirely different from Skeleton Archmage I would suggest an antimagic Cursed character.

My favorite winning race/class combinations have been Halfling Arcane Blade, Thalore (lich) Necromancer, and Thalore (antimagic) Cursed. Out of these I'd say the Thalore Cursed is least similar to your winning run so I recommend that.

A Thalore Cursed it is! Fun so far, but still need to work out the different mechanics, e.g. hate. I guess i won't be resting as much!

Probably too late, but you could join the awesomeness of the Halfling Anorithil Master Race/Class Army.

Sweet sweet 100% crit rate with all the corona procs you can shake a stick at.

If you want something entirely different, I suggest:

1. Dwarven Solipsist
2. Skeleton Brawler
3. Thalore Berserker

Ghoul Cursed and name your character "The Nameless One"

Or maybe you should call yourself "Adahn"? Never can be too sure these days.

Dont use Retch or Gnaw because when the hell did he do either of those

Ghoul Cursed are a lot of fun, but they are definitely a challenge at low levels, pretty much until at least 10 when you (should) get rampage.

Not letting yourself use Retch will make it even harder
