ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi, newcomer to the game and thought I'd show off my ToME inspired forum sig.



If anyone else wants one just let me know.

Nice looking one, though I generally dislike signatures that take up more space than the post it comes with.
In long threads with big signatures they tend to use up quite a lot of pages.

While I really like the sig, we don't do images in signatures. Being a low-bandwidth forum sucks sometimes.

The sig isn't being hosted on your server.

Understandable, which is why users are given the option to disable sigs in their individual forum preferences.

I thought we don't do signature images because signature images usually suck?

Think about it how even you could have a snazzy picturesque signature linking to your site.

We've never done sig images (or avatars, for that matter) in the 11 years that I've been here. We don't get a ton of server space and not everyone who comes here has an excellent internet connection. This is a simple forum, and images would start to clutter things up.

I just finished hand-painting my own awesome sig image.

If a picture speaks a thousand words then that, sir, is a strongly worded essay listing all that is wrong with allowing picture sigs on forums!

I for one prefer non sig. messages. Sigs. waste screen space - less is More.

That was the determination of the staff when we brought the question up. So yeah, no images in sigs, sadly.
