Question About Altering Shockbolt Tiles

Is there any way for me to access the shockbolt tiles to customize them to my liking? I tried unpacking the TEAM gfx folder, but that caused the game to hang on the loading screen for a new game. Using 7zip to repack it as a .team file produced the same error (the file was slightly smaller than the unaltered version, I'm not sure why.) (In addition, where would I go to edit the custom tiles for the PC only?) Sorry if this is in the wrong place, it seemed like addons was for if I was planning to upload these changes, as opposed to having them just for personal use.)

You have to rename the .team file to .zip before opening.

Note that the Shockbolt files are commercial art, so please don't redistribute them.

...Or just tell your computer to open them with your .zip opening program :P

Well he tried opening it with his zip program, so I'm guessing that's not working for him :)

Sounds like the problem was with re-compression, not de-compression.

A small change in file size isn't particularly strange - even if the files haven't changed they could be packed in a different order, which changes things. If the difference is significant then I'd guess you used a different algorithm which the game couldn't read. Look for an option to compress it to a zip file (which you then rename) if you didn't already.

Just checked and the archive is 103MB. Re-zipping it myself makes is 102MB, and 7zipping it gives 90MB.

Yeah, those sizes match what I'm getting. I'm using 7zip. Is there a better program to use? I'm using the version of 7zip that came with windows 8, is that bad?
To be more descriptive, the game works completely fine until I reach the load screen for the character creation. At that point, the screen shows up as normal, but the lore/hint box at the bottom starts flickering, and the game does not load when it reaches 100%.

I'm using Winrar for fiddling with the graphics and haven't got any problems. I've made winrar the default program for the .team files and I'm exporting that way the files directly to and from the archive without extracting. Haven't got any problems so far. Hope this will be of help.

Cheers!

Thanks! That method worked fine. One more question, is there a way to edit the custom tiles that are also NPC tiles without changing the NPC version?

They are one and the same file, so at this point - no. But you can follow this topic here for a future resolution (maybe).
