I didn't know there would be a 1.1.5 so soon after 1.1.4
Anyone know what's in this update?

Working on it. Should be out tomorrow or the day after depending on when I find the time to make it. (Barring Darkgod offering an explicit order forbidding it)RKade8583 wrote:Controversial, you say? My rule of thumb regarding controversial and games is offer two versions: one with and one without. How hard is it to keep x zone blocked off or nonexistent?
Or offer ye mod! Ye Controversy Mod!
Reason for no announcement is here: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=40066shonen wrote:the notes are posted already on te4.org, I'm sure they'll be here soon. You're both right, some fixes and no more breeding pits.
Holy crap! An idea I had was implemented... That's another thing TOME and ADOM have in common. Biskup made big font options for my craptacular eye.Crim, The Red Thunder wrote: Working on it. I should point out that I'm not a developer. I'm just the jerk who's going to put them back in via an addon, so people can have a choice about using it or not.RKade8583 wrote:Holy crap! The problem here is, the orcs really don't want peace. If it helps you feel less of a cad, there is a FUTURE for the orcs, because we have a sequel campaign forthcoming for orcs. In the words of Richard Pryor "I'm not dead yet m**********er!". There's also a fifth pride of orcs not seen in all the game (openly). (The orc fighting Fillarel is a member of this pride, going by the lore) They could theoretically make there way towards a more peaceful resolution in the future, but the extremely militant minded orcs fixated on nothing but revenge and destruction (not entirely without reason) are not going to sit down for peace.SmallTownGuy wrote:One problem with the breeding pits is that it made the player feel like an utter CAD for not helping the orcs. And yet, siding with the orcs isn't really an option. Nor is there a storyline available for the player to make peace between orcs and the other races.
... is this still a go, or did DG give the thumbs down?Crim, The Red Thunder wrote: Working on it. Should be out tomorrow or the day after depending on when I find the time to make it. (Barring Darkgod offering an explicit order forbidding it)
I don't really get this, or at least I don't get why it's been such an issue. I appreciate all the work that went into the original story and have always been ok with the "orcs are the bad guys/monsters" narrative. Every story needs a bad guy, right? Disappointed that it got to this point, but an add-on would be a welcome compromise. Nothing against the "orc-sympathizers", just trying to give some appreciation & speak up for the side that doesn't seem to be heard quite as often.SmallTownGuy wrote:One problem with the breeding pits is that it made the player feel like an utter CAD for not helping the orcs. You'd lose that bet. I haven't even gotten that far yet, and just from the descriptions alone, I'd already decided that even the ever-pressing need for more XP and better equipment wasn't enough to force me through a zone like that.Mayfair wrote:Funny thing.. I bet that the same people who are against orc child killing are going to download the possible add-on that brings it back and happily whack away at the orcs, for the xp.
