ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

To anyone who is wondering, Valve is having an issue processing all the achievements for the Steam version of the game. Once they fix the issue, all the achievements that you've earned while playing the game on Steam will filter through. If you had received achievements while playing the game before attaching it to steam, those will have to be earned again. As of now, we have no ETA on a fix.

I dont know if this is the right thread to ask, but is Mankini/Bikini achievement still broken for Steam? I was considering starting a serious bikini run but i dont know if it has been fixed yet.

I'm having a different problem (unless in game achievements can't occur without steam connected). Hit level 11 playing offline and neither the game nor steam registered. I think I've probably got a couple others that I didn't notice, but that's the first one on the list after the tutorial, then unlocked a class and same deal (do those have achievements?)...

I used the steam push link on the account page but still nothing on steam, the character, or the account page.

I had difficulty on easy, found blog post saying no achievements earned. Figured it would have more to do with Roguelike than difficulty, one good hit by an early boss and you're a goner.

I'll test tonight and see if they're working with normal / roguelike or normal / adventure. Should be able to at least one or two achievements. I'm less terrible at bosses than when I started. Plus a few classes unlocked that fit my playstyle better... not the starting demon class, that thing ruins 20 mobs at once then heals off their fear, it's pretty fun to play.

Push achievements works for me, but there are achievements that don't add to the account even though I have those of higher difficulties. I found three, two of those are related to random events:

Ay Ay Captain (turn into pirate);
Can You Bear It? (Bearscape);
Don't Poosh It (land of poosh).

So those aren't added upon pushing achievements via te4.org
(e.g. I have Ay Ay Captain for insane roguelike, so should've gotten them for exploration, norm adventure, norm RL, nm adventure, nm RL, insane adventure)

All 3 of those are tied to pushed events by DG. Santascape also doesn't work properly, this problem has been reported multiple times.

Ah, I see, thank you for making us aware, I kept wondering why I didn't have the achievements on steam even when I had them in game. Anyway I kind of considered moving away from over reliance on steam since there's many fine platforms like epic games which has fortnite save the world amongst other games and seems to work well.

I don't know why this happens, but I ended up thining that Steam achievements don't work most of the time I swear, I don't see them working on most games I play on my PC, they work only on American AAA games, but on everything else, they come once in a blue moon when they feel like it. So, I got used to it and didn't even bother trying to get them...

The best compromise that I know of is playing the te4.org non-Steam version, and then passing them on to Steam. This also has the advantage of also adding them for all difficulty levels lower than the one that the achievement was gained on too.
