Sure it's not because if some antimagic stuff or similar? Maybe even the missing quest to gain access?

If you're sure it isn't one of those it might be something with Steam; I wouldn't know as I'm not using it.

nah , it's my fault : the angolwen academy is given by an addon , and i forgot to place it in my addon folder after the steam install . thanks to starkeep who gave me this info on the chat

What *is* the Angolwen Academy?

A training establishment found in Anglowen with the Arcanum addon. It essentially allows additions schools to be trained using Tokens you earn. One from the apprentice quest to access Anglowen (or granted directly for an Archmage). The second from beating the Storm Mage quest if accessed through Anglowen Archmage.

It is pretty overpowering and I would recommend not using it.

Its more for interesting character builds.
