DarkGod, did you accidentally the entire game? ._.

Game was working fine on 1.05, I patch to 1.06, I start the game, and now I can't load any games or start any new games. It's not that it fails to do either, it's that I'm not even given the option to try (and yes I tried enabling "show incompatible"). What do?
I tried restarting ToME, I tried opening via the patcher first and also directly (skipping the patcher).

What you mean you dont have the option to run new games?
Can you provide the log (when using the flush logs option) and screenshots please ?
(and sorry to ask but, quickly if possible steam release is in a few hours)

Sure, but which log(s) do you want and how to I use the flush logs option? I can give you a screenshot of what I'm seeing, give me a sec.

Flush logs is in the launcher.
Run it like that, have it show that empty screen, exit game and send me the te4_log.txt file

I think I did that correctly.
Edit: side note, my modules folder has a file there called ORIGINALslime.ogg that I put there that isn't in use. I see it mentioned in the log file so I moved it to my desktop instead and tried launching ToME again, and got the same results. (i.e. it's irrelevant to the issue)

can you try to rename game/module/tome-1.0.6.team to tome-1.0.6.zip and open it, see if id works (and then re-rename it)
Also waht size is it this file ? (precisely in bytes)

If I rename it and try to unzip it, it tells me the file is invalid or something and it cannot complete this operation (no it doesn't work).
File size as .team file is 14,577,309 bytes (14,577,664 bytes is the "size on disk")
Edit: I just realized that's in the same folder as I had that miscellaneous file that's not in use ORIGINALslime.ogg, and it was there when I patched to 1.06. Could it be that's what caused it to break? It doesn't say that ORIGINALslime.ogg was accessed or modified today though when I check its properties.

Size looks good, still it sounds like it got mangled somehow.
Can you try a full redownload please ?

What's the easiest (i.e. fastest) way to do that? I don't want to make this any harder than it has to be (as I'd like to not !@#$ up any settings or such that I've already set that I don't have to).
Oh, and if it did indeed get mangled, then it may actually be partly my fault. As the file name ORIGINALslime.ogg suggests, I did some tinkering with the sound files--I removed the old slime.ogg and replaced it with an already existing sound file in ToME that I copied and renamed slime.ogg. I can't imagine how that managed to mess up the whole thing, but I guess it's possible.

move away everything, just keep t-engine-launcher.exe and run it, it'll redownload

Yup, that fixed it. Thanks for the troubleshooting assistance! xD

This is why I suggested you replace it using an addon rather than hack the module files.
