ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Whilst playing an Alchemist I died, but the game did not end.

Instead my golem let me play on.

Does this mean I can bring my character back somehow?

If so how?

When you die as alchemist, you get the control of the golem to avenge yourself. You can't exit to the world map as a golem. If you die/suicide as a golem you will die normally (travel to the eidolon plane if playing adventure and you have lives left or otherwise get the death message).
